Josh “Wide Open” Weems is a 7-1 MMA and Bareknuckle fighter who is definitely on his way to the big show with big payouts. Being a family man is hard at times due to being away from his wife and two kids. He has showed them that it is worth it and even inspired his wife (Megan), his brother (Rob), and his 10 year old daughter (Carmen). Megan Sullivan Weems is a loving wife and mother who wears her heart on her sleeve. Megan gives Josh credit for inspiring her to compete in Jiu Jitsu tournaments but she does not plan to compete in the cage. Megan is happy being apart of Josh’s journey. Fight camps are long, hard, and sometimes emotional but fight night it is time to have fun. Megan has been doing Jiu Jitsu for 2.5 years and teaches all women’s cardio kickboxing and kids Jiu Jitsu at Black Sails. She also a workout class at Village School. Carmen is 10 years old and have competed in 2 Jiu Jitsu tournaments and 1 fight at Empire Fighting Championship. She won 1st place in her first tournament. She won 1st and 2nd place at her second one. Carmen did not have her hand raised at her Empire fight. Her competitor was older and had a higher rank but Carmen decided to fight. Rob Weems is Josh’s brother and one the nicest individuals. Rob is new to competing in the MMA cage. Rob did a great job at his last fight on March 27 in Jackson, MS earning him the win and glory.
