Q: Introduce yourself to the LMD readers.
A: This is your boy Yo Gotti representing North Memphis and
the whole Memphis.
You know what I mean. I’ve been put-
ting it down independently for a minute with TVT Records,
Cash Money Records, and INE Records grinding.
Q: How long have you been in the rap game?
A: Since I was thirteen or fourteen, but I have seriously been
rapping since I was eighteen. Now, I’m Twenty-four.
Q: What are some past projects that you have worked on that
helped you to get to where you are now?
A: My first one was from the Dope Game to the Rap Game.
The second one was It’s Self Explanatory. The third one was
Life. The first two came out through Select-o-hits, but on the
third one we had a distribution deal thought TVT. We also put
out Black Out Squad album which is a compilation of the
Q: What new projects are you working on right now? Who did
the production and who is featured on the project?
A: I am in the process of picking the songs, but I have worked
with DJ Tune, Mannie Fresh, Carlos Broody, Young Face, and
Street Tunes. We did a song with Birdman, Young Jeezy, LIL
Ke-Ke, Slim Thug, Jazzy, Bun B, Eight ball and a few others.
I recorded sixty songs. We just have to pick the ones to put on
Q: What singles are you pushing from this album?
A: Yeah, Gangsta Party is on the radio now, and we just shot
the video with Eightball and Bun B. We got Fall Time, which is
on the Hustle and Flow soundtrack. There are a couple more
we plan on working.
Q: Do you have any tours in the making for the summer?
A: I’m going to do my radio run and we are setting up a college
