Q: Introduce yourself to the LMD readers.
A: I am Jonathan “Iron Jon” Jackson. I compete in 145 lb feather weight.
Q: Tell us about your first bout.
A: My first fight I took was with a military boxing title holder. We fought standing for 2 rounds, but I did not listen to my coach. I took the fight anyway. I knew almost no ground and ended up losing to submission.
Q: What does it mean to you to be a MMA fighter?
A: I know I belong with the best and I work hard at my skills.
Q: Who is your biggest inspiration?
A: My boxing coach Johnny Little has inspired me to be a better man since I started.
Q: Tell us about the team you are training with in preparation for your bout.
A: Black Sails are the most respectful, hard working, and tough group of guys that I ever met. It is my pleasure and honor to be apart of such a great team.
Q: What separates you from other fighters?
A: My team and our cardio work outs.
Q: If you could have one dream fight with anyone, who would it be?
A: Conner McGregor is my dream fight.
