Jaleel Willis enters the ring with Maycon Mendonca In Welterweight Bout at Bellator MMA 259. This is a battle of the former LFA Welterweight Champions. Willis enters this fight with a 14-2 record and Mendonca’s record is 11-4. Mendonca starts in round one with several kicks followed by Willis taking him down applying pressure and grind on the cage. Mendonca is working hard to get up after Willis takes him down. Round 1 was controlled by Willis. Round 2 opens with leg kicks and Mendonca keeping his distance. Willis lands some big punches putting his boxing skill front and center. Willis take down Mendonca and lands a few hammer fists. Round 2 was a mix of kicks, punches, and takedowns. Round 3 more of Mendonca kicks and Willis with a combinations of punches, kicks, and takedowns. Mendonca is a tough fighter, but he is defeated by Willis improving his record to 15-2. This is Willis 3rd win in the Bellator Cage.

Willis joined Bellator in 2020 after winning the LFA Welterweight Championship. Willis defeated Lemminger in the Bellator cage at 253. This will be Willis 3rd fight in the Bellator cage. Willis goal is to become a Bellator Champion and he has 5 first round knockouts.
